Properly caring for your clothes allows you to maintain the brightness of their colours and the quality of their fabric and makes them last longer.
Washing is an important step in the proper maintenance of your laundry, and following the instructions on the labels is essential to preserve your clothes. Sort your laundry by colour, material, and recommended washing temperature. Place delicate items, tights, and lingerie in a laundry bag or pillowcase to protect them as much as possible. Avoid using a high spin speed, which can damage the fibres of delicate fabrics.
For drying, carefully hang your clothes to avoid additional wrinkles and prefer flat drying for all woolen garments. If you hang your laundry outside, avoid direct sunlight: turn your clothes inside out and place them in the shade if possible.
As for ironing, it will be much easier if your laundry is still slightly damp. For embroidery and delicate details, using a pressing cloth is preferable to protect the fabrics. Good laundry care will preserve your clothes and extend their lifespan in good condition.

1. Sort your clothes by color, washing temperatures, and fabric types.
2. Don't overload your machine; excessive friction can damage your clothes and reduce washing efficiency.
3. Wash coordinating items together as often as possible to avoid ending up with mismatched sets and minimize color discrepancies.
4. For items containing elastane, opt for cold or 30°C wash cycles.
5. For velvet, garments with prints, rhinestones, sequins, embroidery, pearls, or fancy knits, turn the garment inside out before washing to protect it.
6. During drying, wrinkles can leave white marks. Be careful when hanging your laundry, and if you use a dryer, leave the clothes inside out.
7. Velvet, garments with prints, rhinestones, sequins, embroidery, or fancy knits should be ironed inside out.
Wool shrinks when washed at high temperatures and distorts when hung.
Sun drying fades colors.
Bleach damages fibers; it's better to use bleach alternatives.
Cotton tends to bleed, so wash it separately.
Exceeding recommended detergent quantities doesn't make clothes cleaner; it may even leave residues.
Viscose garments stay beautiful longer if not spin-dried but air-dried.
Remove laundry from the machine drum promptly after the wash cycle ends. Damp laundry develop bad odors. Leave the machine door open between washes and periodically run a 95°C cycle with bleach.
If you accidentally leave a tissue in a pocket, don't panic; rerun a rinse cycle with a nylon stocking in the drum to collect lint.
