Sharpening with the tungsten sharpens coarsely. Simply place the base of the blade in the defined area and bring the blade towards you with light pressure. Move from the base to the tip of the blade. Repeat 5 or 6 times, or fewer if the knife was recently sharpened. Then move on to the ceramic. Make the same movement 6 to 8 times always applying a light pressure. If your knives are sharpened frequently - more than once a week - use the ceramic notch.
